Annalena is a visiting student from the University of Regensburg (Germany), where she completed her B.Sc. Chemistry and is currently  completing a M.Sc. Chemistry with a focus on Bioanalysis. Before joining the Fruk lab she worked on an optoelectrical platform to investigate GPCR-functionality and the development of liposome-based bioassays. In the Fruk lab she is working on the development of a polydopamine-gold nanoparticle based biosensor for qualitative drug analysis and nanosized J-aggregates consisting of varying fluorescent dyes. Outside of the lab Annalena can be found climbing, reading or hiking in the mountains with her dog.
