Interdisciplinarity and diversity: Two words that best describe researchers in our lab
Diverse mix of researchers from different backgrounds and career stages ranging from experienced postdocs to undergraduate students makes everyday life in the lab more dynamic and much more interesting.
Our synthetic chemists are used to work on several projects at the time making linkers and small molecules, while our physicist and biochemists might have a single project building a particular biosensor or deciphering a biological pathway. Irrespective of the number or the stage of the project, we all meet regularly to discuss results and exchange ideas. In the core of our work is the understanding that we are cleverer together and that every idea counts.
