Daniel holds a BEng (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds. During his time there, he worked on Raney Nickel catalysis with Dr. Sven Schroeder and completed a year in industry, working in R&D for Jacobs Douwe Egberts. Daniel joined the Fruk group in 2020 and his current research, as a constituent of his MPhil in Advanced Chemical Engineering, explores the use of nanocomposite materials for enhanced extraction of circulating tumour DNA from urine. When not in the lab, Daniel captains the Cambridge University Crusaders Cricket team, loves to travel and is an avid reader.
